Building Information Modeling
Schadler Selnau has been using Autodesk’s Revit Building Information Modeling software since 2007. Autodesk’s Revit software is specifically built for building information modeling (BIM), allowing our firm to design, build, and maintain higher-quality, more energy-efficient buildings.
Sound planning practice plays a key role in the development of all our projects. Whether the project is a single structure in a rural setting, or several structures that span several blocks within the city, we analyze the site and develop several options, to arrive at the best solution for that project and its relationship to the community.
Through our affiliation with both non-profit and private clients, we provide valuable services to agencies for differing program requirements and building types. Our extensive knowledge and experience gives our firm invaluable understanding of the changing need of the senior and disabled population and the need for adaptability. Employing "Universal Design Standards" is the baseline used by our firm and the starting point for each development.
Schadler Selnau Associates uses Autodesk Navisworks project review software. This allows our design team to holistically review integrated models and data to gain better control over project outcomes. Integration, analysis, and communication tools help our team coordinate disciplines, resolve conflicts, and plan projects before construction or renovation begins.
Housing developments designed by our firm comply with the energy guidelines established by CHFA and HUD’s cost containment and modest design policies. Our buildings also are designed to meet or exceed energy efficiency requirements of present codes and LEED for Homes Rating System.
